ARRIVAL

Flying

We recommend that you fly into Reno airport (RNO) and aim to arrive between 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM. From the airport to Sierra Camp will take about 2 hours and can be done by shuttle service or by renting a car. If you take the shuttles, you will have to change from the South Tahoe Express to a Sierra Camp van at the California-Nevada border in South Lake Tahoe, which is roughly 1 hour and 15 minutes into the 2 hour trip.

The South Tahoe Express from Reno to the California-Nevada border costs about 30 dollars per person and reservations are required. You should get off the shuttle at Lakeside Inn and Casino, where a Sierra Camp van will pick you up.  Book the Reno airport to South Lake Tahoe shuttle here.

The Sierra Camp van from Lakeside Inn and Casino to Camp will run as often as needed. Sierra Camp will consolidate shuttles, in order to minimize trips between Lakeside Inn and Camp. We appreciate your understanding if you end up having to wait for a short while at Lakeside Inn. To request a Camp van pick-up, please email Lauren Frankel at lefrank@stanford.edu. The van is big and red and will have a friendly person with a sign.

driving

Camp's address is 130 Fallen Leaf Road. If you're coming from San Francisco, we recommend that you give yourself about 4 hours.

Checking In

Stop by the front office when you arrive. They'll give you a room key, welcome basket, and a smile! The next few hours are yours to explore camp.

DINNER

6:00 PM - 7:30 PM

Dress Code: evening Casual

Dinner will be served in the Dining Room, buffet-style. We'll have plenty of options for vegetarians, carnivores, and everybody in between. Alcohol is included.

POST-DINNER FUN

7:30 PM - 11:00 PM

DRESS CODE: CASUAL (WARM)

After dinner, we'll have a few surprises for you. Please be sure to pack some warm clothing, as Tahoe can dip into the 40s at night. For a full list of things to pack, see here.

THE PLUNGE

7:00 AM

Dress Code: Swimwear

Take a plunge with us before we take The Plunge! Starting your day with a lake jump is a time-honored camp tradition and we'd love for you to join us. Don't forget your towel!

BREAKFAST

7:30 AM - 8:30 AM

DRESS CODE: camp Casual

Breakfast will be served in the Dining Room.

FUN!

8:30 AM - 12:00 PM

The morning is yours! How about a hike up Mt. Tallac? Or a sail around the lake? Pickup game of volleyball or tennis? Or just relax and read your book on the dock? If you have any questions during this time, check with the front office. We'll be a little busy...

LUNCH

12:00 PM - 1:00 PM

DRESS CODE: camp CASUAL

Lunch will be served in the Dining Room.

MORE FUN!

1:00 PM - 3:00 PM

The afternoon is yours too! Get back out there and explore the lake or the hiking trails. Make sure to give yourself plenty of time to get showered and changed before the ceremony.

CEREMONY

4:00 PM - 5:00 PM

DRESS CODE: Cocktail

We're getting married! The ceremony will take place at Baby Beach.  Please be seated by 4:00 PM. 

RECEPTION

5:15 PM - 12:00 AM

DRESS CODE: COCKTAIL

We'll start with passed hors d'oeuvres on the Old Lodge deck. Then we'll move into the Dining Room for dinner. After dinner, there will be dancing and general merry-making.
